Your Daily Prescription for Laughs...

Robert Downey Jr. is officially (whatever that means) leaving the hit show Ally McBeal. Here's the REAL reasons why:

  1. He wanted to play the exact same character on another show.

  2. Sick of being known as "That dude from Ally McBeal."

  3. His probation officer thought the show was bad for his career.

  4. He really wanted to take communal showers, which is typical after spending some time in prison.

  5. He was upset that he wasn't the title character.

  6. The producers were sick of seeing his eyes brighten up every time a production assistant asked, "Want a Coke?"

  7. If there wasn't any booze on the set, producers would have to hide all the hairspray, just in case.
